The Colts will be hosting a 5 p.m. news conference today, where it is expected that Coach Dungy will make his retirement announcement.

Fox has reported that Coach Dungy spent a significant amount of time talking about the decision to retire from the Colts with his family. Today, Coach Dungy is at the Cots practice facility, saying good bye to players and Colts employees.

The Colts won a Super Bowl under Dungy’s leadership. He coached a total of 13 seasons in the NFL, initially leading the Tampa Bay Buccaneers for 6 seasons, and most recently with the Colts for the previous 7 years.

Coach Dungy has been one of the more successful coaches in the NFL, becoming the first coach in NFL history to have six consecutive 12 win seasons.

There is no question that Tony Dungy’s biggest legacy on the NFL will be in becoming the first Black coach to win a Super Bowl.
