Thomas Jones throws Brett Favre under the Bus
1 Jan
Thomas Jones has come out and bashed New York Jets QB Brett Favre. In a recent interview with New York’s Hot 97 FM, Jones had only negative things to say about the Jets living legend.
“The other day, the three interceptions really hurt us….. If I were to sit here and say, ‘Oh, man, it’s OK,’ that’s not reality” Thomas Jones told Hot 97 FM.
“If somebody is not playing well, they need to come out of the game. You’re jeopardizing the whole team because you’re having a bad day. To me, that’s not fair to everybody else. You’re not the only one on the team.” Jones stated on the NY radio station.
It is a weird scenario, because Thomas Jones has been in the league for 9 years, rushed for 7815 yards, and played in a Super Bowl (where Rex Grossman cost him an NFL title). Jones is a veteran, and has earned the right to be heard. However, Brett Favre has played in the NFL exactly twice as long as Thomas Jones. A little more respect could be given to the future Hall of Famer.
