The Cincinati Bengal’s Chad Johnson must pay $4,000,000 to sport Chad Ocho Cinco

CNBC’s Darren Rovell reported that Reebok has asked Chad Ocho Cinco (formally Chad Johnson) to buy 100,000 jerseys for $40 per jersey.   This equates to roughly 50 million pesos or $4,000,000.  

It is crazy that Reebok premakes 100k jerseys.  What is worse, who in their right mind will buy a C. Johson #85 jersey, when you know it will soon be Ocho Cinco on the back.  What would be interesting would be too see someone like Nike or Adidas sign Ocho Cinco, and agree to buy out his jerseys. 

One thing is for sure, only #85 can dictate how this ends up looking.  If he finishes the year with 1400 yards and 14 td’s, everyone will think he is great.  If he has 352 yards and no td’s (as he is currently on pace for) nobody will think he is funny. 

Only time will tell

 One thing is for sure, instead of having Ocho Cinco on his back, Chad could roll $4 million into buying Allen Iverson’s home.
