With Playboy’s 55th Anniversary issue coming out on newsstands, InGameNow thought it would be a perfect time to take a look at athletes, WAGs, supermodels, and actresses who have graced the covers and pages of Playboy over the last 55 years. Also, IGN has made a few suggestions for Hugh Hefner, to consider in upcoming issues.

Supermodels of Playboy
Some of the world’s biggest named Supermodels have posed for Playboy. Hopefully this tradition will continue.

Stephanie Seymour: All that needs to be known about Seymour is that she was the first true face of Victoria’s Secret. Stephanie Seymour was in the March, 1991 and February 1993 issues of Playboy. Sadly, she used to dated Axl Rose.

Rachel Hunter: Hailing from New Zealand, Hunter has achieved international fame as a model. Rachel Hunter was on the legendary 1994 SI Swimsuit cover w/ Elle Macpherson and Kathy Irland. Hunter is currently engaged to Jarret Stoll of the Los Angeles Kings. Hockey is not a powerful enough sport to trump Rachel Hunter, so she is included in the Supermodel list as opposed to the WAG list. Rachel Hunter was featured in Playboy’s April, 2004 issue.

Cindy Crawford: Cindy has appeared on the most magazine covers, ever. Most do not know Crawford was a high school valedictorian, and earned scholarship, for chemical engineering, to Northwestern. Cindy Crawford and Pepsi teamed up for the greatest commercial of all time. Crawford was the first true supermodel to pose nude for Playboy,in both their July, 1988 and October, 1998 issues. Paulina Porizkova: Born in the Czechoslovakia, this international stunner had back to back SI Swimsuit issue covers, in 1984 and 1985. Paulina Porizkova was the first Supermodel to appear in Playboy. She was featured in a non-nude shoot in August, 1987.

Elle Macpherson: Elle Macpherson has graced the cover of the SI Swimsuit issue 5 times (1986, 1987, 1988, 1994, 2006). Elle is 6′ tall, worth over $100 million, in the movie Sirens, and nicknamed “The Body”. In May of 1994, Elle Macpherson had one of the greatest Playboy pictorials of all time.
