Sheraton Hawaii Bowl: Hawaii vs. Notre Dame

7 Dec

Hawaii will get some homecooking in their bowl this year. That will help in the season after they lost Colt Brennan to the Washington Redskins of the NFL. The Warriors haven’t had quite the offense as they did under June Jones, but Juniors Greg Alexander and Inoke Funaki have performed admirably as Brennan’s replacements. The 2 quarterbacks have combined for 2,753 passing yards and 18 touchdowns.

In South Bend, Notre Dame has been going under great amounts of scrutiny, but the Irish are in a bowl and Charlie Weis is going to back for another year. Jimmy Clausen still has plenty of room to grow, but he had a good sophomore season with 2,771 passing yards and 20 touchdowns. Unfortunately for the Irish, they have to right the ship before Christmas Eve because after they started the season 5-2, they lost 4 out of 5 games.
