Rodney King to fight Ex-Cop in “Celebrity Boxing Match”

For some reason, 49-year-old Rodney King is giddy like a schoolgirl about the opportunity to fight a cop (whom he outsizes by 10 lbs and 3″ height). This former cop, Simon Aouad, carries himself like a D-list rapper, complete with a totally-not-gay-looking choker that he passes off as bling.

The fight is supposed to take place tomorrow in Philadelphia.

I’m not sure which I find more entertaining–the whole WTF idea of Rodney King boxing a cop, or the attitudes of these guys put next to each other. Nonetheless, I’m sure this interview is more entertaining than the actual match will be. I don’t imagine King giving Aouad the Muhammad Ali “what’s my name” vengeance at 49.
