With Playboy’s 55th Anniversary issue coming out on newsstands, InGameNow thought it would be a perfect time to take a look at athletes, WAGs, supermodels, and actresses who have graced the covers and pages of Playboy over the last 55 years. Also, IGN has made a few suggestions for Hugh Hefner, to consider in upcoming issues.

Playboy’s Hottest WAGs
What is the point of being a top athlete? Obviously to have a WAG. Playboy has done a wonderful job showcasing some of sports hottest WAGs.

Jennifer Walcott: Playboy’s Miss August 2001, Jennifer Walcott is currently engaged to the NFL’s Adam Archuleta.

Madonna: There is no question that Madonna is the Queen of Pop. Reciently, she has proven herself as one of the greatest WAG’s in history. Carol Alt: Carol Alt was just featured in Playboy for their December 2008 cover. Alt has a thing for the hockey players, she was once married to New York Ranger Ron Greschner, and is now dating Russian hockey player Alexei Yashin. Alt broke onto the scenes as SI’s 1982 Swimsuit issue cover girl. To date, Carol Alt has over 500 career magazine covers.

Rena Mero Lesnar: This is one WAG we would not want to mess around with. A former WWE Diva known as Sable, Rena Mero Lesnar was a Playboy cover girl 3 times. Rena Mero Lesnar is currently married to former WWE Champ and current UFC heavyweight champ Brock Lesnar. If Sable can’t kick your ass, Brock Lesnar definitely can!

Marilyn Monroe: Why did we include an iconic actress such as Marilyn Monroe in the WAG category? Simple, she was married to Joe DiMaggio. Joltin Joe trumps actress. Everyone knows Marilyn Monroe, from her movies, to her marriage to the New York Yankees slugger, to her affair with JFK. Monroe was on Playboy’s first cover, in December 1953.

Carmen Electra: How can we not include NBA WAG Carmen Electra. Not only is Carmen in the 55th Anniversary issue of Playboy, she has also been in Playboy in May 1996, June 1997, the cover of December 2000, and the cover of the May 2003 issues of Playboy. Vikki LaMotta: Boxing WAG Vikki LaMotta was the wife of boxer Jake LaMotta. The movie Raging Bull was based on the life of Jake and Vikki LaMotta. Vikki was in the November, 1981 issue of Playboy.

Carmella DeCesare: The 2004 Playmate of the Year, Carmella DeCesare Garcia is married to Jeff Garcia. Say what you want about Garica, Carmella is one hot WAG.
