With Playboy’s 55th Anniversary issue coming out on newsstands, InGameNow thought it would be a perfect time to take a look at athletes, WAGs, supermodels, and actresses who have graced the covers and pages of Playboy over the last 55 years. Also, IGN has made a few suggestions for Hugh Hefner, to consider in upcoming issues.

Playboy’s Hottest Athletes
Over the years, many athletes have graced the cover of Playboy. IGN has included pictures of some of the hottest Athletes to ever appear in Playboy.

Amanda Beard: This four time Olympic swimmer has earned seven Olympic medals in her career. Amanda was on the cover of the July, 2007 issue of Playboy. Click here for more Amanda Beard Pics!

Ashley Harkleroad: Ashely Harkleroad is currently a top 100 tennis player in the world. She was the first tennis player to appear in an American Playboy. Ashley Harkleroad made the cover of the August, 2008 issue of Playboy.

Candice Michelle: This WWE Diva once held the WWE Women’s Title. Also known as the Go Daddy Girl (from Super Bowl ads) Candice appeared in Playboy’s April 2006 issue. Click here for Candice Michelle Pictures

Joanie Laurer: Known by the name of Chyna from the WWE, this vixen was a 3 time WWE Intercontinental Champion. Also known for her time on VH1’s The Surreal Life, Laurer has appeared twice in Playboy, on the covers of the November 2000 and January 2002 issues.

Gabrielle Reece: This volleyball player was on the cover of Playboy in January of 2001. Gabrielle Reece was a standout volleyball player at FSU. Now, Reece is currently married to surfer Laird Hamilton.

Amy Acuff: Amy Acuff is a multi time Olympian for the High Jump. Acuff was on the cover of the September, 2004 issue of Playboy. Amy was a big part of the UCLA athletic department. InGameNow talked Amy Acuff into dunking a basketball for us!

Katarina Witt: Katarina Witt appeared on the cover of the December, 1998 issue of Playboy, making it only the second issue to ever sell out. Witt is a two time East German Olympic Gold Medalist (‘84, ‘88) in figure skating.
