Michelle Wie co-leader of LPGA Q-School

Michelle Wie is currently the co-leader of the LPGA Q-School. Shiho Oyama and Michelle Wie share the top spot on the board.

LPGA Q-School is being held in Daytona Beach, FL at the Champions and Legends course. Many consider the Champions course to be the easier of the two. Wie played the Champions course today, where she shot a 7-under 65, to be 10-under after two days of golf.

Yesterday, Wie hit driver 4 times on the very challenging Legends course. Today, she kept the driver in the bag only twice. This aggressive play helped her card 4 consecutive birdies.

LPGA Q-School is by far the most stressful tournament in women’s golf. Wie has had a rough career, never living up to the expectations set out for her. She has never won a tournament, and has failed to make the cut in multiple PGA tour events. Wie will earn a lot of respect by playing well this weekend.

Michelle Wie will have to finish in the top 20 of the LPGA Q-School to earn her LPGA tour card. If Wie keeps up this play, nothing will stop her.
