March Madness Bloggers Final Standings: Jennifer Barretta FTW!

Hopefully last night’s Championship Game helped you get to sleep. Congratulations to UNC for winning another title. We have the final tally for our March Madness Blog Fantasy League:
Just to recap, these 25 sports bloggers set up their fantasy teams for the NCAA Tournament (see the initial post here). The rules are deceptively simple: select 5 guys who will get the most points+rebounds+assists throughout the entire tournament. The catch is that you will hurt yourself by picking the same few stars as everyone else, because the players help all fantasy teams equally. But these bloggers are smart, opinionated people. They can spot talent.
It turns out Jennifer Barretta is smarter than 24 sports blogs (including us), with a come-from-behind win to finish with 783 points.
Her team had Tyler Hansbrough, Blake Griffin, DeJuan Blair, Hasheem Thabeet, and Ty Lawson. Congratulations!
One of the fringe benefits of Jennifer winning the contest is that she is much better to look at than, say, Jimmy Traina or Ryan Spoon. To prove it, we included a picture gallery of our new champion for your benefit and made sure not to include any photos of Spoon in case you were expecting a scientific control.

The first loser was March of Madness, finishing with 754 with their all-UNC lineup.
The Hotclicks/Gunaxin clone-teams had potential to win–so, weeks ago they sent in tiebreakers just in case. Both teams chose Louisville as the overall winner, while Jimmy predicted the final game would have 153 pts and Gunaxin predicted 145. It’s not of any consequence, except to note that almost-great minds think alike.
