Gary Sheffield Hits MLB’s 249,999th and 250,000th Home Runs

Attention baseball fans: The 250,000th Home Run in MLB History was hit tonight. And Gary Sheffield hit it. He also hit the 249,999th. Great irony considering Sheffield’s mixed baggage, steroid history, and overall jerkiness. But it is an amazing accomplishment

More impressive? Gio Gonzalez gave up the 249,998, 249,999 and 250,000th home runs. He sucks.

Also of note, Sheffield’s home run comes exactly two years after David Newhan hit the 240,000th home run.
