BCS Bowls Outlook Week 4
11 Nov
Florida/Alabama (BCS #1 & SEC Champion) vs. Texas (likely BCS #2 & Big XII Champion)
The SEC Championship Game is settled, it will be a rematch between Alabama and Florida; the winner will head to Pasadena. Texas has no real problems remaining on their schedule and should with relative ease win the Big XII and head to Pasadena as the #2 team.
Florida/Alabama (likely BCS #3 or #4) vs. Boise St. (At-Large)
Sugar Bowl gets the first replacement pick and with that they will choose the SEC Championship Game loser. The Sugar Bowl gets the final at large selection, with automatic bids TCU and Cincinnati gone, they will choose Boise State, as of right now, since Boise State is the only team available for taking in the top 10.
USC (At-Large) vs. TCU (Non-BCS Automatic Bid)
The Fiesta Bowl gets the second replacement pick for losing Texas. There isn’t any question where they would go, USC, since there is no Big XII team available in the top 14. With the second at large selection after the Orange Bowl, they will choose automatic bid TCU.
ACC Champion vs. Cincinnati (Big East Champion)
It doesn’t look like the ACC will get a second team in the BCS, so the champion will end up in the Orange Bowl due to the automatic tie in. With the first at large selection after the replacement selections, the Orange Bowl will select the only BCS Conference team in the top 10, that being Big East Champion Cincinnati.
Oregon (Pac-10 Champion) vs. Iowa/Ohio St. (Big Ten Champion)
As of right now Oregon leads the Pac-10 by 1/2 game over Arizona, those two meet next week in which the winner will land in Pasadena, but for now Oregon claims the spot due to leading the Pac-10. The winner of the Iowa/Ohio St. game will go to the Rose Bowl.
