Baltimore Ravens: Ray Lewis and D Take Over
7 Dec
In a game that defined the season of both teams, the Baltimore Ravens relied on their stifling defense to dominate the Washington Redskins. At 7-6, the Redskins are all but out of playoff contention, however, Baltimore now only trails the Pittsburgh Steelers by 1 game, and at 9-4, they have the leg-up on the Wild Card race along with the Colts.

The Baltimore offense was serviceable to get the 24-10 win. Joe Flacco had 134 yards in the year with a touchdown and an interception. The rushing game helped with 147 yards behind the trio of McClain, McGahee, and Rice.
The true story, however, was the dominance of the defense. Ed Reed had an interception of a floating Campbell pass. He went on to add another interception and a fumble recovery. Ray Lewis looked like he had a spark from the height of his career with 13 tackles and adding his 2nd sack of the year.
If the defense continues to play like this, they are going to be a force to be reckoned with in the playoffs! Come give your take at InGameNow.
