And The “Michael Vick” Award for 2008 Goes to…
28 Aug
Detroit Pistons guard Lindsey Hunter. The Detroit Free Press is reporting that Hunter is under FBI investigation in response to accusations that he and some business partners tricked a guy into buying a home he couldn’t afford. The accuser? A public school employee who brings in just $35,000 a year. The house in question? Reportedly worth $1.25 million.
Allegedly, it all went down when the accuser was promised $300,000 if he bought the house and held on to it for a couple months so that Hunter and his associates could find a buyer. Since we’re talking “FBI investigation”, I think you know what happened from there – the poor guy never got his $300,000 and no one ever bought the home. The house went into foreclosure and the guy’s credit rating looks worse than Hunter’s career numbers. Even Pacman Jones thinks that’s messed up.
