Alex Rios doesn’t take kindly to fans offering their opinions of his performance, especially after he strikes out five times during a loss to the Angels last Thursday.

Actually, I’ve got to side with Rios on this one. 99% percent of people who heckle athletes (on the field or off) couldn’t last a day in any professional sport, and should therefore STFU, so in this case Alex Rios is less of an asshole and more of a visionary. Joe Sportsfan thinks Rios a bum? Fuck him! Let him put down his Coors Light and face a 95 mile-an-hour fastball every day and see how he does. I bet it’s not as easy as working in tech support, is it?

In an unfortunate turn of events, Rios has since publicly apologized for the tirade.
