#5 Tom Brady, Patriots – Fantasy Football Mock Draft

Drafting a quarteback at #5 in a fantasy football draft? Am I insane?! Here’s my logic:

1. The drop-off from the top two running backs to the next echelon is severe. And it’s worse to the next tier… in other words, the great ones are gone.
2. Tom Brady is healthy. Trust me. Belichick is fooling us all.
3. Brady’s offense is amazing and he has had another year to gel with Moss, Welker and crew.
4. The Patriots don’t let up. They are pissed about the Super Bowl and are going for the jugular. Expect big output.

No other quarterback is equivalent. And Brady might not be the top scorer each week – but he is consistently great.
